The side door of my 4 year old trailer rotted out at the bottom due to moisture. The door had no sealant between the sections of the door which allowed rain to penetrate inside the door and rot the wood. This was one of several leaks this trailer has had. I contacted the company just to request the outer aluminum skin (which I would have gladly paid for) so I could rebuild my door. I was told they had no way to ship it so basically I was out of luck. Really you couldn't roll up the aluminum flashing type material, put it in a shipping tube and ship it?! Poor customer service and not willing to stand by their product. I will never buy another homesteader trailer nor would I recommend them to anyone.
I have a 6 x 12 enclosed with barn doors. Mine leaks and the door doesn't close right. It's only a few years old.
they need to fire the whole bunch there that call themselves boss they are un professional judgemental and thats my out look on the place i would never recommend it to anyone.
The toy hauler my cousin bought from homesteaders is well made
Bought a homesteader enclosed cargo trailer. Bad wiring from start. Finally took it elswhere for rewiring and replacement of wiring harness. Spare tire bracket welds split-could have lost spare and it would have bounced down road and killed someone. Hitch has never worked right, having it cut off and replaced right now with different hitch. Paint on tongue rusting through. Trailer 1 1/2 years old, light use for hauling my dog show equipment. JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. Vote with your feet, buy something else!!!
